Humpty Dumpty

We have been reading nursery rhymes this week! One of our favorites is Humpty Dumpty. As an experiment, we estimated how many "bricks" tall Humpty's wall needed to be for him to break. We started with one brick, then added another, and another...After the first broken Humpty, we discussed whether or not we would have the same results the second time.

I love this book as an introduction to letters!  We read it and had fun using our creativity to make coconut trees.  We then used the letters of our name to "climb" up the trees!

All About Me

To tell about ourselves, we looked through magazines and cut out pictures that expressed ourselves- our likes, our favorites, special memories...

 

 

Gingerbread Hunt

Today, our class read some stories about the gingerbread man/boy. Afterwards, we made a giant gingerbread man to decorate our classroom. When we came back from specials, our gingerbread man was gone! We followed his clues around the school and finally caught back up with him in our classroom where he left us some treats! What a great adventure today!

Kindergarten Open House
